Since 2016, the South Miami-Dade community has been engaged to create an economic development plan for the southern portion of Miami-Dade County.
These efforts, originally spearheaded by Commissioners Daniella Levine Cava and Dennis C. Moss, were implemented by the Economic Development Council of South Miami-Dade (EDC) through the “More to Explore” marketing strategy.
Recently, the EDC and its team partners, the Miami-Dade County Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER) and South Florida Regional Planning Council (SFRPC), were awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration to support the creation of a new Economic Development Plan for South Miami-Dade.
As part of the team, Lambert Advisory was engaged by the RER and SFRPC to develop a plan called “Strategic Plan for Economic Development for South Miami-Dade.” Lambert has been developing the strategic plan during a six-month period. The efforts include three (3) community-wide meetings facilitated by the EDC. These meetings are intended to gather updated information from the community, as well as seek the community’s input on how to move forward with development.
